Tire speed rating chart

What is the tire speed rating?

The speed rating is a letter on the tire sidewall for the maximum permitted speed. W means 270 km/h. The chart below lists all common symbols in km/h and mph; ZR means over 240 km/h.

Try a speed symbol

Type the letter after the load index, such as V in 91V.

Reference-table value only. Always match your vehicle placard and tire sidewall markings.

Compare load and speed markings

Compare a current and candidate single service description, such as 91V and 94W.

The candidate table values meet or exceed both current values.
